Scarecrow checks your site every few minutes, from multiple locations. If…
- You (or a customer) can’t access your own site, but the issue is actually with a local Internet Service Provide (ISP) or some other regional problem, that’s worth knowing: you can rest easy.
- Your hosting provider’s DNS servers are down, or there’s some other issue in their datacenter, it doesn’t help if your server’s actually running perfectly. It also doesn’t help if your hosting provider tells you the site is up. From within their datacenter, it well might be. So what?
- Your server is up, but content from a database isn’t available or has changed, our content monitor will notify you right away. (And you can use Scarecrow to restore your site from a backup too, right from your dashboard!)
- Just going to say it. In additional to technical issues, we have also seen hacked sites serving porn, sites that are “up” but in reality a hosting provider has put up an “unpaid” notice instead of serving content. Issues with contractors/employees who claimed to do work on one day that didn’t happen until later, if at all. We’re here to help.
